Extended Strike Plate (AKA long lipped strike) is designed not be used in applications where a large door jamb is present, this strike plate will allow the lock latch to protect the door jamb and lock into position

Extended Strike Plate Function - when door is closing the lock latch or roller will contact on the strike's lip preventing damage to the wide door jamb
