A Loose Pin Butt Hinge that has a centre pin that can be easily removed from the barrel to separate the hinge. Also sometimes called removable pin hinges. The advantage of having a loose pin hinge is that the door can be uninstalled without having to remove the hinge from either the door or the door jamb.
Loose Pin Butt Hinge Function - a form of surface mount hinge that fits on top of the door's surface and does not require mortising or recessed installation.
