Short Backset Primary Lock is a door lock designed with a shorter backset distance (typically 23–30 mm, depending on the manufacturer) than a standard lock. It is commonly used on sliding doors, aluminum-framed doors, screen doors, and narrow-stile doors where there is limited space for the lock mechanism.
