Hold Open Arm Assembly is an accessory used with compatible Lockwood surface-mounted door closers. It allows a door to be held open at a selected angle and released with a slight pull or push, after which the door closer resumes normal controlled closing. The hold-open position is adjustable up to approximately 150°, depending on the door closer model.

Hold Open Arm Assembly Function - Holds the door open at a chosen angle without the need for a door stop or wedge. Releases easily with a slight pull or push, allowing the door closer to close and latch the door smoothly. Improves accessibility by keeping doors open during the movement of people, wheelchairs, trolleys, or equipment.
